Arid-zone Biofertiliser Knowledge Exchange Exercise

Purpose and vision

This five-day workshop will connect microbiome research at Imperial College London with expertise in arid-zone agriculture in Namibia. The aim is to share methods, build research capacity and develop new approaches to sustainable crop production through microbial biofertilisers.

A collaborative framework

The workshop is a collaboration between Imperial College London, the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), the University of Namibia (UNAM) and CABI. It will bring together early-career researchers, principal investigators and agricultural stakeholders.

Training and exchange

The programme combines research talks, a grant-writing workshop, poster discussions, field activity and practical sessions in microbiome data analysis and visualisation.

Long-term outcomes

The exchange is intended to support continued collaboration through shared methods, postgraduate supervision, research visits and future joint funding applications.
